Walker Creek Ranch

Walker Creek Ranch is a 130 Acre Cattle and Horse Ranch nestled on the famous Bluebonnet Trail in Ellis County, located in Ennis, Texas

The Ranch started as a homestead for the Janicek family that immigrated from the Czech Republic in the late 1890's.  When the family had aquiring enough money the land was purchased from M. McCall in 1903.  The ranch mainly produced livestock, butter, eggs, bread, pigs, chickens and cotton for the community to purchase.  The land has been in continuous ranching operation since 1903 and currently produces cattle, horses and hay and in the process of being recognized by the Texas Land Heritage Program. 

Mike and Tricia Hambrick desendants of the Janicek family have run daily operations of the ranch for more than 16 years.  We are members of AQHA, SHOT, NRHA, ECEA.

Offering Limited Boarding, Lessons, and Training using natural horsemanship techniques.
